2012 FORD FOCUS TI FACTORY 2-step/launch control (VIDEO)

Well idk how many of you 2012 focus owner know this but My GF just bought a 2012 ford focus Titanium with the 6speed auto. Well the dragracer in me wanted to see how it was. you put the car into sport mode 1st, Hold the brake down and WOT the car and Amazingly it had a 2-step/ Launch control at 2700rpm its freaking awesome.


Her focus is completely stock. will have outside vids tomorrow and check back for the full version ;)

Posted via FF MobileCant watch the video yet, but thats pretty awesome. Thanks for the tip. Hopefully my parents will get a focus and Ill be trying this out myself.

Nice! Better launches are achieved by getting into the meat of the torque curve earlier [/Capt. Obvious], but that is necessary with these motors needing to rev to make power.

FYI - you can scroll through your settings on the screen above your steering wheel to turn off the traction control...

I was wondering how to turn off traction control. Can you explain more please :)

O and Rob it had 10 miles when we bought it last night. Now it has 140miles haha :)

Lol it's got a 5 year drivetrain warranty what's there to worry about.

anyone try it on a MT yet? I couldent even get the tires to break free with TC off when I tried it in my buddies car

Works in Normal *AND* Sport mode.

Only problem is there's too much of a delay between letting off the brake and the car actually engaging the clutch. Tried it at a light and got blown away by my friend because I let off the brake when the light turned green and the car didn't move for another second or so.
