i dont know if this is the right spot to ask this question... i have a 2008 focus. there is a plug, when u fold down the back seats, that has nothing going to it... the plug is red and is on the drivers side. anyone have an idea what this is for?
me and brad figured out what it was. i was right, it is the stock hookup for the subs... so this is gonna help alot of ppl who want to add aftermarket subs
Are you guys saying that there's speaker wire behind the back seats for directly connecting a subwoofer? Or are they rca cables for the subwoofer signal to the external amp that you have to install?
It's a specialty harness designed to fit the Audiophile Sub setup only. It is not a set of RCA cables, and the wiring is not there on every '08 focus just as not every 00-07 focus came prewired. Some that have the harness but not audiophile setup are just lucky [thumb]
Thanks. After looking at your drawings, I can confirm the wire colors are the same for the 2010. I was abel to figure it out and now I got my aftermarket amp installed. I'm going to have another dealer install Sync in a few weeks. Should be interesting since I don't ahve the steering wheel controls.
