possibly try cleaning off your battery connections and also your ground connections.

 

^^^ OKay, I'll give that a shot before I leave work in the morning.

 

Have you done the recall on the fuel pump yet? My car did that before it went out. Recall on pump is free, filter isn't, but I haven't had that issue since.

 

Ya know...funny story. I took it in for the fuel pump a bit ago and they changed it out or what ever and when I got it back the car idled noticibly rougher...like bad rougher....

It's still rough and I have not tracked it down yet but refuse to take the car to the dealer again

On a side note, no issues driving the car today

 

did u clean up the grounds???

 

check your grounds... and perhaps look into your alternator also... i know when my alternator was going, it was sorta giving me the same symptoms.

 

grounds on the battery? Crap I don't know is it has em, I have an aftermarket battery. If your talking about the battery terminals yes I cleaned those and they are clean.

 

what you do is follow the negative wires from the negative terminal the ground is like 6 inches away just follow the little black wire and also there is another one that goes from the back eye hook to the body and that is located on the upper left of the motor if your looking at it standing over it. but take a look at those and clean them real good and hopefully that helps

 

Well I looked into the wire, I did have a wire that was barely and I mean barely loose that was the ground wire. Barely even loose and it would have done that u think?

 

I am having the same issue with my wifes car, I must do what the lads are suggesting about cleaning all the connections. Let us know how u get on please.

How long ago? If quite recent, you may just have to let the car re-learn it's idle if the battery has been disconnected. The procedure is in your owner's manual. If it is quite a while ago, the car should have re-learned it's idle already in any case. You do not have to do the "re-learn" procedure for the car to re-learn the idle, it just takes it a lot longer to do it with normal driving vs. the procedure.

And as some one earlier mentioned, check the alternator, particularly the connector. This are know to go bad with loose and corroded wires at the connector.
