I've been looking into doing a swap to the 2.5 i4. I've done the research and I do plan on throwing a turbo on after the engine is swapped. My biggest issue is I can't find what year engine to use. Which year would you guys recommend? I do plan on stripping the block and upgrading parts and throwing a new clutch in. Thanks in advanced

As far as I understand, the 2008-11 focus is pretty much the easiest to do this swap since there is no fussing with cams or cable throttle. You should be okay to use anything in the ford family so any fusion or escape 2.5 all the way up to present day. You will still have to do the VCT delete tho and I would recommend deleting the balance shaft.
