Does anyone know anything about why my engine load percentage is showing around 79 % load at at idle then dropping down to what seems to be normal load when throttle is opened, then back up to around 79 % again when take foot off pedal? that seems totally backwards to me. I think it uses the maf sensor to calculate load but I don't know what would cause it to read backwards.

the scan tool is pretty consistant, showed correctly for a ford f150, dodge ram 1500, mitsubishi eclipse, etc... it idles rough also. already changed the iac valve, I wonder if a semi clogged fuel filter would do it. I noticed that my fuel pressure is jumping between 39.25 and 40.1 psi and I noticed that when my maf sensor shows above 1 point something lbs/min (foot on the accelerator pedal), the load percent decreases, and when it drops to below 1 lb/min (foot off the accelerator pedal) it increases considerably like its' completely backwards.

I can't get a datalog. I don't understand how it could be doing this since I've found out that the engine load percentage is deduced from rpms, maf and tps. I cleaned the maf sensor to no avail and i watched the scope part on my scanner to see if there was any dead spots on the tps and there is none. it seems to be responding to the pedal correctly. the maf sensor shows some erratic numbers in my opinion but this could be normal. I am watching all the sensors to see if there is any correlation to the load percentage and can't find one. I'm wondering if the computer itself might be bad.

it sucks when you're forced to work for 7.25 an hour as an electronics technician and can't afford to buy parts for your car. the engine idles hard yet very consistant and stays around 700 rpm at idle but feels like it's over 1000 rpms. the motor mounts don't seem to be bad. it will kinda smooth out every now and then. i noticed that when in idle, and the load % goes down by a couple of percent marks it idles a tiny bit smoother and then it will go up a couple percent marks and it will idle rougher. The load percentage isn't steady at all during idle, my long term fuel trim will go up to almost 20 % at idle and will drop to around 8.6 to 10% when driving that seems to be the only reading that is correlating with the load percentage because it does the exact same thing.
