What I used to complete this:
*Stinger SpeedWire (x2)
*Polk Audio DB6501 Component Speakers
*Polk Audio DB651 Co-Axial Speakers
*Pioneer GM-D9605 5 Channel Amplifier
*AudioControl LC7i w/Bass Correction
*Pioneer TSSWX2502 Subwoofer

Reason for the change:
Got sick and tired of my crappy factory speakers rattling and crackling anytime you turned the volume up past 12. So I put new Door Speakers in and rolled around with that for about a week. It already sounded as good quality-wise as the Sony "Premium" Audio with just speaker changes, but it would still clip the HU and cause distortion it also lacked Low-end range once you turn the volume up past 15 due to the fact the HU starts cutting off low frequencies at around that volume.
Ordered Amp, Sub, LC7i, and SpeedWire.

I tried to avoid cutting the factory harness but ended up doing it because I could not find the Parrot Harness that other people used anywhere that wasn't $150 or more.

How I did it:
Using this Thread http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/...-audio-sync-myford-touch-electronics/324097-simple-focus-mk3-audio-upgrade.html as a rough guide and adapting it to a 2015 Focus, removed the door panels, remove and cut the factory speakers from their baskets and used them for the new speakers.

Then I used this thread http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/...sync-myford-touch-electronics/651873-2015-up-dash-removal-amp-install-done.html to do my wiring and soldering at the harness

After all is said and done you should end up when something like this

It sounds like a true Premium Sound System. Aside from the sub and amp in the rear it looks COMPLETELY factory and I really like that, it can really crank out bass if you want it to also(I wired a bass control knob under the OBD port) it took me a day and a half to get this all done so plan for a weekend project if you decide to undertake it but it's TOTALLY worth it!

Let me what you think please!

Nice work! Looks like a good project to do to get rid of the crappy base audio.

Yeah those are my around the house shoes haha

The only reason I spent a day and a half on it is so that I didn't rush myself and mess something up! And yes it's sounds very good and opens the door up to adding a bigger amp if I want to down the road.

From what I read you had to use the QC-FOR11MK Harness, that's the one I was looking for but could not find anywhere cheaper than $150 after shipping, I wasn't sure if they were interchangeable or not. Oh well, end result is the same and if I need to I can just go back in and solder the wires back together [wiggle]

Atleast you did it all at once. I bet it sounds great. Unlike me who did a few things here and there and still need to finish it.

How do you like that amp? Did it come with a birth sheet?
Well I actually did the door speakers first and then went from there.
No, it did not come with a birth sheet . I am really enjoying this amplifier as it is a very good amp for the price I paid for it ($200 brand new off Amazon) the specs are 75W RMS x 4 and 350W RMS x 1 @ 4ohms OR 100W RMS x 4 , 600W RMS x 1 @ 2ohms so more than good enough to run what I need off a single amp, which is why I chose this particular amp in the first place.

Dumb question, but what would labor be on an audio install like this? I really have no tools. To be honest no skills. And am constantly on the road. Which in and of itself makes me want to upgrade the stereo system a bit. Nothing wild, just better than stock.

I went to car toys and they quoted me $2300 parts and labor. Said hell no and went to other audio install places and got quotes anywhere from 1600 to 2100. I just ended doing it myself for less than $600 for all the parts(I love Amazon!!!)and a couple of cold ones!

how does it look? I have a JVC KW-V220BT double din with all the extras plus back up camera, that I just pulled from the 12 mustang i'm selling but looking at cruchfield i'll need about $300 + just for the adapters and face plate. is it worth it?

I kept the factory head unit, so I can't comment on that. I didn't want to mess with all of that and lose my SYNC, I actually enjoy it alot, just not the puny sound that came from it[hihi] IMHO I'd keep the factory head unit and put the 300 towards doing an Lc7i/Signal Processor and a 5channel Amp OR a 4 channel and a Monobloc Amp setup, depending on your preference. Me personally I did a 5channel amp for the sake of convenience and simplicity.

You can buy all the tools you'll need for an install like this for $50-100 depending on where you buy them from. A stereo install like this isn't that difficult, just time consuming, you could do the full install on a saturday if you were to forego the sub setup. There are a few how-to's on here for this exact setup, which many of us have chosen to do, and you can youtube search anything else you will need to know. As long as you can match colored wires together you should be able to do this!
