I read a lot of threads warning that the atx is not a good platform for mods & would like to know how many of you out there acutally experienced a blown atx due to modifications & what you think actually caused it...was it due to mods or how the car was used w/mods in place?

well..
you can mod your focus with auto tranny..
i have auto tranny....
problem is that the tq converter in the car is not that good...
and it give up after arround 140 wtq...
so a FI application would bring you over the limit...

it will not break instantly..
but it will break sooner than later...

Is not that bad but too much power can break it eventually. But you can also modify your ATX tranny to handle the load. Theres a lot of parts to upgrade your ATX.

well, i'm on tranny #2. but none of the mods that I didi caused it to die on my. when ford replaced it they said that i had numerous blown seals which lead the car to no shift from 1st to 2nd.
