Not very many people can get traction in the rain, no matter what they drive, esp if they are racing. Playing around on a wet road is just not smart at all, the percentage of things going wrong is not in the drivers favor.

my SVT handles like crap in the rain Traction Control is the only thing that saves my arse

I barely hit a lil water going 60 and the traction kicks in cause i feel the car starting to slide its scary as hell

Yeah traction in the rain sucks.. i was getting off the highway on to the off ramp which is this big ass circle... i was going pretty slow but during the turn i felt the car slipping ..it was scary i didn't wanna slam into the barrier.. no more driving in the rain for me .. i'll just take my sentra when it rains from now on..

nice kill. i might have to mess with one of those up here. can't wait to go back home to texas though. i can always feel a power difference. only kills i have are two slightly modded civics, a v6 stang, and an older model n/a talon.

Why don't all you people just go down to your local strip? How in hell does street racing, especially in the rain, "rock"? Traction control is just idiot insurance. Wanna-be-racers like you are who is making my car issurance so high.

The closest strip is an hour away and drag racing sucks because the SVT Focus isn't good at drag racing as for the trans am thing I'm almost definate it was my friend was the one who called out it being a trans am I beat it then Later that night I had a Ram Air Trans Am race me and smoke the crap outta me I think the first one I was racing was the slower Trans Am (V6?)or maybe it was a firebird and my friend was just wrong

I know it wasn't the smartest thing to race in the rain, but it wasn't as bad as it sounds. I had no problem getting traction and we were the only cars around. I'm not a perfect driver, but I know when to let off and what my car is telling me. I'm not stupid. If there was a local track I'd go to it, and I don't do that very often anyway. I'm not saying it was the best idea, but who cares, get over it!

if they made more tracks there would be less street racing

Your life, your car, your lack of better judgement. Also your right, I dont care, and I'm def over it. Give Attitude then you can expect to get it back.

I drive a hour just to race at a 1/4 track that has seen better days. I drive a good 30 to 45 min to race at the nearest 1/8 tracks. I would much rather do this than race on the street, not saying that I've never raced on the street, cause I have. I think that racing is better done at the tracks, a place that happens to be designed for such a thing.

Yes maybe we need more race tracks, but then again even if we had more, street racing would still be done.
