On facebook i saw a post by a ford salesman...apparently tomarrow you can go
online and build your rs and get an order request setup...anyone heard about this? Im
Going to ask him for more info/links

Still waiting to see the number to be imported and that will tell how big of a "market adjusted" price we'll see. If that number is well north of 5000 cars and if there's to be a 2017 RS then you won't see gouging.

You can take this with a grain of salt but I was at my local ford dealer, Autonation Ford, last week to test drive an ST and there special order guy told me two interesting things:

1. They would be able to take orders for the RS starting next month.
2. They would most likely start getting the cars in January/February time frame.

Again Im not sure if its just dealer boasting or if its real but if they get here that early it would be a very nice after christmas time for me.

I plan on calling and talking to them tomorrow to see if I can get some more info.

Just saw a document being sent out to USA dealerships regarding allocation.
Regarding available units, it only states that there will be a "very limited" supply.

Order guide will be available October 01, and Order Banks will open October 12, with vehicles arriving in dealerships Spring 2016.
Production begins in January 2016.

Dealerships who have had good sales number of Fiesta/Focus ST will get priority allocation, or how Ford words it "earns allocation". It goes onto say dealerships who do not earn allocation, Ford will make every effort to schedule and build retail orders as production allows. (yeah good luck with that)

I am not going to post the document as I am sure it is not for public view.

IMO regarding RS production, history of past RS production has been be a 2 year run only. Which fits this model as well, with 2018 being the change over to the MK4 Focus.
