Hello all,
Im new here and this is my first post :)

I have a 2014 Focus SE sedan, it has 11000 miles on it at the moment.
I bought this car not long ago and my brakes are already out, the car shakes when i brake, so i assume my rotors are not good as well as rear drums... i know they heat up a lot because of my aggressive driving...
Now im trying to upgrade my brakes but dont know where to start... i have few questions

1. Will ST rotors and calipers fit my SE? I have 18 rims on my car so the size wouldnt be an issue i guess

2. How can i convert rear drums to discs? Is it easier if i just take the whole rear suspension along with the brakes from an ST or Titanium? Will it fit mine?

3. Any idea where i can buy loweing kit for my car? I searched everywhere and found nothing... also would ST suspension fit my car?

Thats all FOR NOW... thanks for taking your time to read and reply :)

You probably have warped rotors. I'd suggest you hit up rebel devil customs for all 3 things.

Okay, so in terms of the rear disks, all you need is the Brake calipers, brake caliper brackets, hardware, dust shields, and e brake cables. The only thing needed to do it is removing the rear hub which isn't the most fun thing to do in the world. There is a very detailed write up on the forum for how to do it. You'll find that most of your time will be spent on the e brake cable. That's where most of my time went on my rear disk conversion.

ST brakes on SE MK3

Well, it does appear that you can use ST rotors on a SE or other MK3 without changing the spindle or other major parts. I ordered a ST caliper mounting bracket for a ST for use on my SE (Ford part number BV6Z-2B292-B) (may also use Motorcraft BRBCF28) and it appears to have enough clearance to allow use of 320mm ST rotor. I have ordered another bracket assembly, rotors and ST sized pads and will advise when I have installed all the parts. I have the black package and interior package option with leather seats and rear discs and 17" wheels. The undersized rotors has been a ongoing problem with Escorts and Focus since the beginning and has only been solved by going to larger and better rotors and pads.

My MK3 is nearing 40K and pads in front have about 50% remaining, but the rotors once again have excessive run out. The rotors could be machined and still meet tolerance, but because of California hazardous waste rules, the machined material must now be collected and held as hazardous material. So, a lot of people are getting out of servicing rotors and replacement being the only option.

Assuming that this all works according to plan, MK3 owners will have another option to improve brake performance, while reducing or eliminating the Famous Ford Front rotor issue.

looking forward to this. I would like to be able to just swap out my rotors or ST rotors.
