Hi dESucoF,

I've checked on your case, and I see your CSM will be following up with you on Monday.

Yeah, it was like pulling teeth to get someone to talk to. After 4 calls in with no calls back I finally spoke to someone. I still have no faith. Ford says what the dealer should be doing, the dealer says they're waiting on Ford, and I have no car. Not a good situation. My dealer has 30 clutches as of this week and none are for my car. I can't see myself or my family ever buying a Ford again. This is joke to leave paying customers hanging out to dry like this.

Have you actually seen the 30 cars/30 clutches yourself?

Can't imagine a Dealer with that many customers having cars in unusable condition.

If they actually had that many "down", not just on a waiting list, they'd be pointing at the line & saying they can't fix all of them at once instead of saying "your" clutch isn't in yet from Ford.

Something here just doesn't make sense, if you were one of 10 when yours was dropped off you'd be ahead of the 20 that supposedly were added to the list after yours. Sounds like favored customers getting preferential treatment for a "shudder" before those with a more serious problem. (few end up waiting at a Dealer for clutch work, since most have an issue that's NOT severe enough to park it when first diagnosed)

Well, no, I haven't actually seen them. When I brought my car in on 6/15 they said there were 10 others already on the lot with the same issue. That's over a month ago. I see no reason why there can't be 30 now. It's a big dealer that serves a large area.

What they told me is that Ford distributes the replacement clutches by assigned VIN. Out of the 30 clutches they received none were assigned to my VIN.

I added a bit more to my prev. thought while you were reading/typing.

On Long Island in particular I can imagine sales reps. badgering service to get their favorite customers first spot in line for the slightest shudder that can qualify, leaving others with more serious troubles waiting.

"Escalating" your case through Ford should help, but I bet the big spenders will still get jumped to the front of the line.

OK so I get call today stating my new clutch is in. Dropped off my focus and it will be in the shop for 2 days. I have a Lincoln MKX as a loaner. They stated they will see what they can do about the headliner. He did blame crap from an oak tree plugging up the sunroof drains. I don't park under a tree. Maybe the previous owner did who knows. I hope they can get the stains out or just replace the headliner for me also. They also found that the TCM needs a reprogramming also.

I did. Not much help there. It took like 3 weeks to get a call back from anyone and when I finally did they proved to not be much help anyway.
That's terrible! I reached out to mine and she did her best at expediting my clutch. I waited about 3weeks. You can look at it this way. You are not putting miles on your car.

Got my car back today. I don't think they even looked at my headliner. They did say the drain is clear for my sunroof. They also told me to look on YouTube for good videos to see how to clean a headliner. When I first brought my car in they stated they will try to clean it.

@geneticjim Well good for you getting your car back and best of luck with it going forward.

I've tried the positive spin of "not putting mileage on the car", but this entire experience is way too aggravating to take anything positive out of it. Especially knowing there are very likely more issues to come.

In any event, I called my dealer yesterday and found out my parts came in on 7/31. Nobody thought a call to me was justified? I had to call them? Anyway, they said I should have my car back by end of next week. I won't hold my breath because they have like 25 others that need to be worked on.

This whole ordeal is a real shame. I really do like the car a lot and now all I can think about is how to get rid of it without taking a financial hit.

@dEDucoF that really bites! I hope you get your car back asap! I am sitting at the dealer again. I have the SEL model and have express up and down on all windows. That feature isn't working after getting my car reflashed. Also I now have a rough idle. It's not bad but it didn't idle rough when I brought it in. So I sit here at the dealer waiting to see what the deal with the idle is. For my windows they just have to enable the express option while connected to the computer.

Wonder what they actually fixed for the idle issue, "flywheel" couldn't be retorqued quickly.

The windows are a common issue after service, needing a reset after the battery has been disconnected. Others found it can be done easily by yourself, with running them to each extreme & holding it there for a moment.

Well I was on my way to work, I pull out into traffic and I loose power. The engine revs but no power. It felt as if the transmission went into neutral. The check engine light came on. I was lucky enough to have enough momentum to pull into the median without getting hit. Back to Ford again. I'm just happy my 3 yr old wasn't in the car with me. The only code I was able to get from my car with my little reader was
