I put my car on a dyno today

I put my car on a dyno today (along with my friend's VR6) and I ended up with the following:

Max Horsepower: 119.0 @ 6000 RPM
Max Torque 118.9 @ 4250 RPM

However, after further review of my results, I really managed to get 120.4 ft/lbs of torque @ 4061 RPM, but horsepower was a whopping 95 lol.

It sounded like a freight train in the garage; I didn't realize a CAI can make a car so loud. I'd post the graph, but my digital camera is on the fritz, and it didn't turn out too well with my phone.

The automatic focii and still keep up with a 5spd on the road though - just have to catch the 5spd in the proper gear ratio; granted racing & ATX don't belong in the same sentence

That was just in 2nd gear though, up to 79mph - I ran the dyno on Blizzack Revos (snow tires) which are incredibly soft and melt in the spring; I had some wheel slipping and I think if I did it again with the stock tires the numbers might be a little better.

Just got my first mod in the mail (Marcy CAI), but the wife won't let me have it yet cuz it's a Christmas present. Shit.

I was wondering if you notice any better performance from a seat of your pants aspect after the CAI install. Sometimes a mod that just makes the vehicle louder will make it seem like it is going faster, what do you think, is your actual performance up any?

The intake is a very dramatic improvement over stock, you WILL notice the extra power.

you dyno'd in second gear?? and hit 79mph??how did you manage that??? my second only goes to around 50ish[???

i have a borla exuast and a fs cai i noticed a little but not a whole lot im lowering her in a few days!! yes!!

sorry, it was 3rd, lol - my 2nd goes to 64.

As far as the intake goes, it sounds beefy and adds just as much beefy-ness under the hood. So much more torque steer.

the intake...that's all I can attribute it to. I can do a little over 85mph in 3rd... having said that though, my car won't stop delivering fuel until 115mph (I believe it's supposed to stop at 108)..but the rev limiter comes in at 6750... maybe I have a strangely tuned car? lol
