If I buy new motor mounts and transmission mount will it make my car vibrate like crazy or will it just vibrate a bit more?

Any suggestions are appreciated!!

Thanks,
Sharon

My sons and mine both just have a "tighter" feel.

Yah, I have an '04 2.3 and might be getting some soon too, which company and model do you recomend?

VF Engineering all the way, they make the best ive seen and not bad prices.

Do I need front and rear, just one? Not sure which I need.

for the 2.3 the upper drivers side and lower rear are the only 2 available.

The 3rd is under development as we speak... So i hear...

I installed my MAC motormount last week.... I've had it in the garage for months.
Now i'm kinda thinking why on earth did I delay to install it. It makes shifting much more pleasant, however the vibrations have increased, but is totally tolerable. I kinda like how my feet tingle when i flip on the A/C.

VF engineering dosen't seem to have motor mounts for the 2.3L foci.

Does anyone else know of a place that carries motor mounts for the 2.3L focus besides focussport?

New Edgecarries the VF mounts. The rear lower mount is the same for the Zetec,SVT, and Duratec. The Driver's side tranny mount is also the same.

As said in a post above, VF is working on a Passenger side mount for the Duratec Focus.

I hope this helps.

for a street car under 200hp, doing just the lower torque mount with ES, MAC, or VF inserts/mounts will work. Doing the other two "pivot" mounts isn't really a good idea if you don't need it, since 80% of the engine movement is controlled by the lower mount.

i just added ES lower inserts to my 2005 Focus and it did a great job of controlling engine movement. NVH control has diminished a bit at idle (mostly with a/c on) but i think a fix can be done by bumping up the idle speed when the SCT xcal2 is added.

Exactly. I love my ES inserts.
