To paint the HID's on a black svt or not...that is the question....

I think that it would look great. If you do decide to go that route, the blacked out look, I would suggest tinting the windows also.

If you are worried about resale, I am sure that you would be able to find someone out there to swap you their HID's for yours if you paint them black. I am sure that I would be first on the list.

Ya I thought I put my tinting on here, but guess I typed it in cardomain (just put the pics on the page today lol).

But ya I do plan to get a light tint (thinking 35 or so now)

Those painted HID's look unbelievable, though it might be a tricky job to do. You could always get clear corner lenses and keep the HID's like they are, that way you have a nice contrast of black on white...

They look AWESOME painted black... I would do that if you feel brave.

I'd never have the guts to do it if they were mine though. That's me personally, I'd either send them to someone who has done them, or buy clear corners and maybe clear LED tails and call it a black on clear combo.

beleive me I personally wouldnt be painting them... I just dont have the patience for fine work like painting (never prep lol).

so finding someone to do it would also play a roll in the deciding factor.

Nah, I say get some clear corners and leave them. Looks kinda dull when EVERYTHING is black.

That picture of those blacked out HID's about 5 posts ^^^^ are mine. I sent them to a friend in Virginia. PM if you want his address or if you go to my gallery and look at that first pic I'm pretty sure I left his address in the comments. I bought another set of HID's from that awesome ebay sale and I think I'm gonna try them by myself.
