So from the looks of things, my buying of a base model SE so I could trade it in in 2 years after my credit goes up, and if the RS comes state side, then in 2016/17 I will be a happy camper.
Also, not to completely change this thread from RS, to Motorcycle, to ST, but the 2015 ST front is horrid. If I wanted a Fusion, I'd buy a Fusion.

What bugs me is that if Ford "confirmed" it then why can't their press guy just write up a small article stating facts that we kinda have a hint on ya know?

Autocar, out of the UK iirc. I will say that they are usually pretty accurate from what I've seen, but until Ford themselves release info I still view their info as speculation.

Just talked to my buddy who works at Ford, hes confirmed AWD. They havent decided on a two door or four door variant yet, and he unwillingly, and secretively said that the engine is definitely taken right out of the mustang. So at least there will be plenty of performance aftermarket right off the bat, as the Mustang will be out for a full year prior to the RS, which he said is slated for 2016.

So basically he knows nothing of any value what so ever? Lol. There won't be any three door MK3 Focus and none of the mules do far has shown anything else other than the 5 door hatch. If he's talking about the car that only proves that he doesn't have any information as those who actually know wouldn't talk about it as they want to keep their jobs. It's not confirmed by Ford to exist yet so yeah...

Lol theres a large difference in not having information, and not sharing information. And clearly there was some of value as people are still doubtful of the AWD, which the RS WILL be AWD. That in itself is enough information to call for a comment. Moving on.

Ironically, I was just reading a thread back in '01 that followed the same general discussion about the SVT as we've been having in the community admit the RS. Lots of 'insider sources' that 'confirmed' facts that were later found to be true or false, debated prices that ranged from relatively accurate to not even close, et cetera. It was a good read that have me a chuckle not only from reflecting on past statements but also from the lines of similarity to this (and other similar) thread(s).

It will be fun to come back and read posts after Ford releases info, and that's not directed at anyone in particular.
