well this dude on a DX civic, he had a B18 engine with headers, 2.5in exhaust, short ram intake, hondada.

he told me he was around 200WHP, im like right. before he starts racing he puts a huge bag of ice on the intake manifold, he said it helps a lot. and so he asked me if i would race him, and so we did run like 3 times and all 3 time he lost like by 1 car from my rear bumper.

i think he was one of thouse guys who thinks that headers can give u 30WHP. but anyways. my car club was all happy with my ST.

ohhhhhhh and i lost like by 4-6 cars by a SRT-4, i bet him at start very very bad, but then i guess later his turbo started boosting and passed me like if i was doing 10 and he was like 40 sad.

my best run was 16.416-16.5 @ 82 mph with just and intake, i was doing 16.8 @ 80 stock

p.s. this is one mile above the sea lvl

And that, is why he's not in the high 15s to low 16s.[;)]
Altitude kills an NA engine.

When I recently took a trip to Seattle, from our home elevation of 4,000'+,
I swore I had an extra 2 cylinders all of a sudden when I jumped on it at sea level.

yes i might. but most of the times i was runing against cool cars and i know i can get 16.5 easy, i just dont want to try different thigs and lose, i was racing that guy most of the time cause he was from a different car club. and so i though that it would be better not to try different stuff against him.

i launch at 4k RPM, and shift @ 6k and i can get an easy 16.5,

Why would it matter if you lose, you go to the track for times and to improve those times. I mean, if you only went to the track "RACE" people then that is fun and all, but you should try different things to improve your time not to just race somebody.

^^^^^ true but like i said it was like a club pride.

oh and by the way the spec v's are not that fast. my friends back spec v was doing best 16.01. with just an intake, when i raced him the 1st time i won then the second time i lost against him.

there was this other spec v (red) with exhaust and CAI, and i bet him once, then the next time i lost by like 1-2 feet
