Okay, so 5speedfocus has no armrest, and neither did Sting2324's brother's car . . . Those officially make the first two that I've ever heard of in sedans. Good info!

The LX comes in under the SE in the line-up, right? So I guess I'll stick by my theory that they come in the base models and the SVTs.

I'd love to find one without the armrest. I have been planning on switching my car from ATX to MTX, and the one complaint that I had about my mom's ZX5 was that it was way too awkward trying to shift with the positioning of the armrest. Even with it folded up, it was still in the way of my elbow.

Mine has that console too. Cup holders not really deep enough to be worthy though. I want to get the after market armrest like CKA has. (I think she's the one with it. Will have to search) She says it's not in the way when shifting and has a 2 cup slide out under the pad...looks good! Where is she when one needs her?

Sorry..it's Revamp with the armrest...made by Husco...who, as of August of this year...CLOSED THEIR DOORS of BUSINESS!!! Dangit..he who hesitates is lost!
Oh well...anyone know of an aftermarket armrest manufacturer?[:(]

My zx3 came like that. My wifes zx4 ses didnt.

and i know someone else from work that has a
'02 SE, zetec, ATX, no arm rest, no pw/pl

so, maybe it might be on the base cars...

I'm glad I'm not the only one with arm rest problems. I hate that thing. I always keep it up but passengers are always bumping it and knocking it open and dumping eveything in it on the floor.
I may work on a clean custom removal.

If you do take it off Ill take the top half my clip broke I cant lean it back.But I have never noticed the armrest getting in the way I take it to the track with it in its normal postion.

I have a 2000 SE with armrest too. Came with the comfort package i believe. I got everything available except leather seats i believe.

You got the non-armrest console, in a rare color. Except for SVTs where it's a standard color.

I've seen optioned out Foci without armrests and stripped ones with it. I think, like underhood padding, it's almost completely arbitrary. I sold my armrest one to my friend who wanted it after getting my SVT one (that looks just like yours, John). So it all worked out!

my 2002 zx3 has that exactly, only it's gray, no arm rest.

i also think THAT picture is an SVT, because the black carpet and the black console unless thats custom by the owner, because the plastic on the seats aren't black! it's hard to say, but

my car's console is like that :)
