Shes smarter than he is!!!!

I been playing metro last light. Got a trainer so I could cheat!! [grinking]

Yes I checked, When it dries up a bit I'm going to take the starter off. I moved a piece of plywood into the driveway and parked on it so now I have a way of working on it without getting too dirty. Once I get the starter off I will take it to be tested. I will also check all wires while I'm under there. Ya can't really check them from up top now can you?

Look at the connections where it goes onto the starter and the battery. I've had mine cooked before and melt the insulation off before. lol

If the wire insulation feel brittle or cooked where it connects to the batter that's a for sure sign they probably need to be replaced.

I'll go by one of the local car stereo shops and get some baddarse wire and make my own. Why would they put a fusadle link between alternator and the starter???

Yes sir, I also may try buffing the skirts before applying more paint. They're silver but rough feeling so a light sanding may make them pop like I think they should.

Gramps, the fuse able link is there to keep you from burning the car down if the wires were to ground out so the alternator doesn't keep pushing the juice out.

That being said I don't have one on Ole' Yeller. Been running it like that for years lol and I didn't even know about the fuse link and I don't remember seeing one on my stock wire either. You figured it would have popped if it wire got hot enough to melt insulation but it didn't. Just grabbed some 4g wire and made my own harness. It'll be a little tough getting it on the starter since there is little to no room. The factory wire was made to go in this spot. Also be very careful not to over tighten the wires onto the start. The studs are very easy to strip. I stripped them once and had to take a new alternator back just because of that. It also may be easier connecting the wires to the alternator first before bolting it up, if I remember right? Been quite a few years since I been under there.

Can't forget the clear coat D, it's got paint plus clear coat that needs to go on. I'll give em' a buff and see what happens but I'm pretty sure I'm going to throw more paint on there.

Wasn't sure you were doing a clear since no mention until now. I know with my car it has to have a clear coat for the blue to look correct. Otherwise it just looks like flat blue.

That's kind of how the skirts are looking, more like flaky flat silver. Pretty sure if I buff or sand it will look better, but like I said I want it too look a lot prettier than what I normally do lol. Kind of going for looks now, not so much speed lol though I'm still all about the go fast bits. I just need to change the SVT up a bit since everyone is getting new cars lol

Yup, never install all your parts (something your all too familiar with lol), that way when your feeling like it's old you can just throw some new stuff on just to change things a bit.

Nice getting the supercharged one? At least you are keeping it in the family unlike the RayMister!! [;)]
