I have some REALY bad luck!!

As most know I bought a SCT chip, well I got it today whent out and put it in and then the car would not start. So I then take it out and reinstall my Diablo and it starts, so now I am SOL with a bad SCT on my hands. I call FS and talk to Randy I decided to trade my chip in for the flasher for the extra $50 just b/c it seems I need my mods to be idiot proof for them to work. I am a little pissed off b/c of how much I have been looking forward to this. Every thing I do to my car ends up to be TWICE as much work as it should![?|]

Damn you Lildisco, of ALL people why did YOU have to be right![;)]

Well Jim what do you think I should do, I am being told by another person to clean the termanials more. Think I should, I dont want to clean them to much.

Update, after I got home I pulled out my ECU and looked at the tabs they are silver in color. So I used the emry paper to lightly scrape the terminals a little more, I then cleaned it with an alcohol pad and reinstalled. Still not working so the chip is being shipped out today to be switched for the flasher, I hope it gets here fast.

Damn that sounds like me, just that my bad luck is running into rusted bolts, missing pieces, and wrong gaskets(of course this is all for my race header). So I'm right with you brother with this bad luck. I hope that things eventually will work out for you.

man, this is such a let down. i was even looking forward to your stupid chip so you would stop whining about how long it was taking to get here. now i have to put up with this crap for how much longer???

That sucks focusin .... But I have you beat on bad luck . Last night I pulled into a friends driveway and shut off my car , right before I pulled up the E-brake a wasp flew in my window and tried to sting my face .So I jump out and run like a total wuss,screaming doesnt help, and my car rolls foward into the back of a 2000 Ford Ranger.I need a new headlight front bumper and driver side fender.
And my cheek is swollen.

Blue, that is just a normal header install mine took two days b/c of having to wait for a gasket. But then again I started the install at 7:00pm[?|]

Before I sent the chip back I looked at the invoice a little harder and saw it was for the Zetec, it said nothing about SPI. So that must have been the issue, but I shipped it today and I am getting the flasher just so I can have all the cool options that come with it.

Spider, well your right you got me beat.

You know, you used to be on my first dibs for header list. But thats looking kind of iffy now.[:p]

I do have a focus "will" and I might just remove you if your not careful![hihi]

But if I do get rid of my car I will remember you called for the header first.

Even though it IS in the wrong firing order.[rolleyes]

Would you be interested in the exaust too? It is a great combo with a great sound, I have a magnaflow resonator on there it is alittle quiet but a nice DEEP tone. I would hate to sell them seperatly.

I think if I can sell all my parts for just a little under what I payed I would not feel so bad about getting rid of it. Plus it would not be to hard to see it driving around with a bunch of my personal touches gone.

i guess that depends on when you'll be parting with the parts. (and the prices...)

i hope to get an MBRP in the next month or so, if finances work out like they are supposed to.
