anyone have HID replacement headlamp bulbs (blue or superwhite)?

I was considering getting some super blue or white HID headlamp bulbs.....does anyone reccomend this mod? I only want to do it if it looks good, as I like the way the stock headlamps look now...I don't want it to look cheesy, so please let me know if you think its a worthwhile replacement and what kind I can swap in...anyone with pics would be great too.

Thanks.

You need actual HID lights, not just bulbs to get the full effect. As for swapping some bulbs in, you could try Sylvania Silverstars. They are not too ricey, not too blue, and fairly bright. There are plenty of other options out there, all you have to do is search.

Yeah I'm not looking to spend a million dollars, or do any radical modifications to an otherwise fairly stock looking car. I wanted to upgrade nighttime visibility as well as the look of the lights. So if I do anything it will be a pair of bulbs only.

one question I left out: what code number or model number Bulb replaces or fits the OEM bulbs?

I have been looking at the sylvania silverstars and they look very interesting,. I am thinking of buying a pair of H4 (according to the FAQ's thats the replacement code) for my headlamps and I am wondering, can I get foglamp replacement bulbs? I see the FAQ lists those as code 899. Does sylvania makes some to fit that?

Thanks.

Thanks, I will check out now.

edit: they better be vastly superior at $150 each. I am not looking to spend for than $50 total or so on the headlights and $25 on the fogs. Not looking for actual HID, just the look and slightly improved night driving. sort of HID on the cheap.

I would also like to replace my fogs so they match, otherwise they'll look yellow in comparison. I see the fog part # is 899, but I looked and my current ones are 892...I assume 892, 893, 899 are all compatible?

How is Luminics? they make ultra white 893's....and how is Nokya? they also make 'arctic' white fogs in that code.

Neither. I have Naxos bulbs and they are WHITE- not kind-of white like Silverstars. Silverstars look almost stock to me. They are a little bluish-white if you look at them from an angle, but they light up the road well for a $35 pair of bulbs. I want to get ST170 lights, and I think I'll put Raybrig lights in those- they are the closest things to HID I've ever seen. btw- rice is white. Suggestion- go polar white for the headlights and amber/yellow on the fogs- give it that OEM Lexus look.

OR:

Cheap HID's from $270- http://www.hidynamic.com/products.htm
