So my clutch is on the verge of going, so i decided i would try to do one of my old school reverse burnouts for some friends, that didn't believe me. I smoked them in reverse and left 2 nice stripes, Clutch it still working and, that was dropped at 6.5k to give them a draw dropping perforance. I cant wait till im powerworks sc, and i have a heavy duty clutch, im going to burn these tires off the wheels, and get a new set of wheels and tires. peace.

awesome. gotta love the stock clutch...and revers burnouts. its like watching a regular burnout backwards

wish I could afford to waste the tires and last little life on a clutch but oh well have fun but be safe

Damn, glad your not driving MY car LOL Man, I don't understand how someone can blatently tear their car up that they paid a lot of money for. Oh well, they tear it up then they have to pay the price to fix it.

ill piece it back together like a puzzle when im done. Dude, my car is very durable. My stock clutch is still holding at 33k, ive beaten it to hell and back, no strong like it was when new, but its still working. My tranny shifts great, engine runs excellent too, no complaints. This car is still like new. Reverse burnouts are a blast to do, and you can get many spectaters when doing them, i wouldn't be surprised if this reverse burnout move becomes a new thing people start doing. You think its as easy as doing a normal burnout going straight? no way, you turn that wheel a little and your doing a 360. I would know. Do your regular mantainence you you should be good to go, But it will always cost money to play.

And then you wonder why you have problems with your car [?|]

What are these problems you are talking about with my car? Everything that has gone wrong has been under warranty [:D] , like the intake manifold switch breaking, and the flash needing done, and umm i believe thats it.

ive had alot of sugar over the last hour, and im comming down from the sugar rush. I didn't mean to seem like i destroy my car daily. But this car is not a piece of glass, it will take alot.

Yeah [rolleyes]

If you ask me, REAL cars don't do burn outs with the front tires!

Regular maintenance won't help prevent snapping something in the front end from all the stress of a burnout... and bouncing off the rev limiter isn't good either! It's just a matter of time and you'll wonder why your engine sounds funny!

what stress from a burnout??? when the tires are spinning freely there is no stress, I could see if your wheels where hopping but not spinning without traction.

Perhaps he is refering to the stress of reving up to 6K+ RPM and side-stepping the clutch to get the tires to spin initially .... not something I would do nor recommend, besides, why would I tear up a car that I am paying $340 a month for? Don't get me wrong, I like to hot-rod around from time to time but I certainly don't drive my car like it's a rental lol

$340 a month! ouch man. i'm at 206 a month for 36 months. bargain.

^^^ Yeah, I paid 19K for the car new and took 0 percent financing over getting the rebate because the payments were cheaper. $340 isn't that bad when you consider I was paying $525 a month for my Grand Prix GTP (bought it new too and had every available option)
