Has anyone here installed hood lifts on their Focus? If so, was it a difficult mod? What brand did you use? Links are helpful. Thank you.

I heard redline tuning makes some of the best hood struts.

I checked out their website, and seen the video, installation guide. Looks really decent. At least, this is where I would buy one.

^^^^^ yup, definitely REDLINE makes the best out there. I've heard nothing but praise from it's product.

i actually met these guy's at the NMRA show in martin michigan and they both have focus svt's. the company kinda started cause they wanted more products made for the focus, so they made them theirself. their products are of very high quality, infact if you go to the svt floormat page their is a couple pics of my orange svt's interior.

Those struts are pretty cool.

I've considered them, would def. buy from Redline if/when I do. But it's a ways down the "Future" list as of now.

I installed the original style (black ones) on my car last summer. They are expensive but you get what you pay for…. And these are good quality. The instructions are very detailed and the installation was pretty straight forward. Just triple check your measurements before drilling.

Just Ordered the elite set... we will see how they fit on my aftermarket hood... I check the site and according to the instruction fitting will not be a problem... lets see how we do.

I wouldn't say that. These are actually priced pretty cheap but are of amazing quality. You want to talk expensive look at Prova which charges $300 or Tein at $150. Redline makes a great product and I can gaurantee anyone who bought a set will be extremely pleased. Don't let the drilling scare you off. It's not that hard.
