What is the best, most cost effective way to improve throttle response and quicken those sluggish revs on the SVT???
My dad's 04 GTO revs very quickly and has awesome response. When I get back to driving my car, I'm frustrated with how slow my SVT's RPMs are. I like to heel-and-toe and rev prior to downshift a lot, so this is especially maddening for me. I'm inclined to think a 4-cylinder should rev as quick as or quicker than a frickin' V-8. because of the reduced mass. Then again, 400hp is a little more than 170hp. haha...I've seen the idle air restrictors, 65mm throttle bodies, and intakes, but do these parts make enough difference?
ps. Once again, don't tell me I need to buy a Tom's Tune or a Diablo or any OBD II device [paranoid]
