Tuning help

Since there are no dynos or actual tuners in my area getting a custom tune is going to be kind of hard.

Pro Charger is sending me a new chip but we all know these tunes are just basic and there is room for improvment.

This stuff is all new to me and I really want to get an accurate tune. What do you guys reccomend for my situation. I plan on getting a PLX LM-1 wideband and debating if I should get just get the SCT flasher. This way I can work off the base file focus sport includes and go from there. Does that sound right.

I guess I could alway send my chip away and get a switch with multi programs but then Im out of a car and mailing the chip back and forth can be $$$.

Does the sct flasher let you save your tunes on your laptop?

Like I said Im new to this and any help would be appreciated.

how far exactly is the nearest tuner. a RR map is the best, so ideally you want your car on the RR for the tune.

nearest dyno to me is about a 15 hour drive.

damn canadians!

im in chicago and the guy that is gunna be tuning my car is supposed to know how things work cause he tunes dsm's, mitsu's specialist. he has one of the fastest evo's in the world, and 1 of the fastest dsm's in its class, along with many other catagory cars that finish very well. like 2nd place well.

im going to be the guenne pig but i have full confidence that they will be able to tune my car because of the superior reputation they have as tuners and installers.

chicago is like what just a few hours. i could let you chill hang out with you and there is a local motel right down the road. just an option.

oh and bring some canadian bitchs if you decide to go that route because i hear there faces are ehhhh but there bodies are like WHOAAAA HOT DAMN! [}

I just started a SCT ProRacer section in the "focus-power" secton and will be glad to help with your tuning if you go SCTPR and i have them for 750.00

I most likely be getting the pro racer tom. Probably wanting to order one up next friday if my check comes in.

What is your process of tuning with the pro racer tom?

Exactly how does tuning your car after you turbo it work? Buy a SCT chip and take it to a tuner and say tune it for me? Thats all? Cause i thought there was more than that, but then again i like making things seem difficult, lol. Thanks

Well right now with my supercharger on. By upgrading the stock 19lb injectors to 42lb. One a stock tune Im getting way to much fuel to the engine (car runs like shit). Now with the tune it adjusts the fuel maps it adjusts everything so it runs much smoother. Thats one of the things. There are many other things it tweak to. I have yet to move beyond that step and still waiting for my tune to come so Im not quite sure.
