I can bring a few chicken filets and some twizzlers. I will have soccer balls with me, anyone have a frisbee?

I will be there about 3:30 maybe a little sooner, so if we wait to grill till 4pm...I just tinted my windows on Saturday, kind of excited about showing them and my system off.

all i can say is i really just dont know about the location. i mean thats where i go if i'm looking for a hike. i dont think there's any abundance of parking or anything. and like previously mentioned it could be a popular plac if it's real nice out. i'm racking my brain thinking of other places in the area.

If you want to add it to the list I'm gonna bring sausage and kielbasa (sp?) and the necessary buns for said meats. I'm gonna bring some pop too, either a case or a couple 2 litres. Also, I have a whole cornhole setup, (ramps and bean bags) so if nobody else can get them let me know and I'll bring it[thumb]

I think i found the directions... does 2 1/2 hours sound good to u guyz Im form Far east side of cleveland.. about 153 miles away from this sharon woods park? i hope im able to find it.. since last time i was going to gtg i got lost .. hope to c some cool lookin rides... as well as some good looking girls :)... i hate to say it.. but nobody mentioned any beer..... hmmm...well ok i can live one day without. i guess.. and hell yea on the soccer ball.. after all im not from europe for nothing ehehhe well c u guys down there.. i will do my best to get there.. and count me in for some chicken or something...where the hell are the mentor ppl at.. !!!!!???

I'll swing by the park also on the next coming saturday. I live close by. I'll report back.

ok so if we're possibly not going to be able to meet there, then we have to think of an alternative place in case sharon woods falls through, there is only about 2 weeks till then so we have to think quick.

Agreed... I've got an old friend that is an avid birdwatcher so I'm sure she knows all the big parks in Columbus. I'll get in contact with her and see what she says.

If you guys go this weekend and it's just as bad as this last one we'll switch venues. I'll get all new maps up and everything as well as PM everyone on the list. At worst it'll add another 20-30mins to anyones drive.

Stay tuned...

i dont think they could really do anything if we all showed up and started grilling and stuff, thats why everyone else is there to, but the problem would be if we all could fit in there. I'll ask around and see if any of my friends know a good place or park or something that would be good to meet in. A side note, you had mentioned bird watching and it reminded me, pretty sure there is a bald eagles nest across the street from the park, the trees have caution tape around them and there are always tons of ppl w/ camera and stuff looking into a birds nest in the trees.

Hate to be a killjoy but since this is a metropark alcoholic libations might not be allowed. I'll get back with more info.

This was my second choice if we find out this weekend that Sharon Woods is going to be too packed. If you check the satellite pics on Google Maps it looks like the big loop has a lot of parking. Link

we should have someone go check it out to make its not going to end up the being the same thing as sharon woods, real crowded and stuff. Looks like it would be a good park. Where in relation to 71 is it? since thats the main road ppl from out of town will probably be coming in on.

It's not far at all. Same distance really:

you're probably right, I'm not sure of it's no alcohol or no open containers. Though i don't plan on asking any park rangers if they want a frosty, cold draft, do you? [:D] [:p]

Let me know what you find out, don't wanna get us all kicked out too quickly, gotta pace ourselves.
