i'm getting some money back from my mortgage company next month and i can only spend a portion of it so what mod do you guys think i should do first?need some input 05 pitchblack zx3

I vote of exhaust because if someone has an aftermarket exhaust you always question "what do they have under that hood" and it the most HP gain for under 400.

actually n2o is not a waste on a stock car. i had a nx kit on my sunfire with a stock motor only a 35 shot and was running 15.2 in the quarter, fun little car nitrous is alot of fun and can be safe if ya know what your doing.

yeh the warranty is a nice thing but when ya wanna go fast and can work on your own car if it breaks, that is the game of racing, this hobby is not cheap,oh yeh the saleen n2o comes with nitrous equipped as well and a 3 year 36 thousand mile warranty?who would put a warranty on a car with nitrous?

somebody correct me if i am wrong. i thought that the n2o focus comes from the dealership missing 1 key component so that way the n2o isnt functional. if that is true it wouldnt surprise me that if you then hooked it up and used the n2o it might void your warrenty

werd, intake is best performance for your buck, go there first, then exhaust. wait for rims/tires for when you need new tires, do suspension same time
I never hread of a intake that gives you 5hp at the wheel. just an intake is a waste of time, the only time it's worth it if you have other mods. check out some dynos on the forum. Go borla it gives you 5hp at the wheel easy 329.00, and an intake will give you 2 to 3 hp maybe for about 250 and it adds nothing to the look of the car.

NoS is not a waste of money but in two years of refilling the NoS added to the cost of the kit you could have bought a stage1 turbo or a jackson supercharger. Unless you go to the strip NoS is just ok.

by the way how much do you want to spend on the car?

i do got to the strip every weekend i can i like to race on sundays bracket races,so yes nos is ok i dont mind filling up the bottle cause it gives me a chance to cruise the speed shop,i think i might spend somewhere around $800 for now.

then I would say NoS is good for you. You will gain at least a second on you time. You can get good nos kit for 450 and don't forget to get your remote for your tank. It's illegal to have an open bottle while driving.

whats the diffrance than a turbo or a supercharger that gives a constent 8psi boost. The duretec is a great engine and can take a beating. He will be fine with NoS the saleen didn't add anything to the engine all they did was put NoS in and called it a day. the duretec was made to handle HP boost. NoS is cheaper than a turbo becuase you don't need a high proformance clutch to handle the tq. But I would recomend a fly wheel though just to be safe. Don't underestemate the focus, poeple are going to them more and more for a reason.

your a moron, you obviously know nothing about this car and the products available. btw it costs about 170 including shipping.

if you zoom in you could read clearly,
my source:
http://www.marcymotorsport.com/html/parts/focus_duratec_induction.htm

avg peak hp gain:10
avg peak tq gain: 8

btw, the duratec cannot handle boost, the internals are much too weak. Nitrous is different from other FI. It is better to use nitrous with higher compression. contrary to FI, which likes lower compression. If you put Nitrous i would not put too much stress on the engine. There are far better ways to make power with this car. There have been people that have touched 14s with your basic bolt ons. Search around. Be open minded.

I don't want to have a pissing match but one thing, it is the dealers dyno and not someone on a web page (they tend to not tell the truth). And I don't like you calling me a moron I have been around cars for a while now. I will stand by what I said till I see some proof that a cold air intake gives you 10hp. You should do some reseach and don't throw a dealers add to prove what you are talking about next time. I will reframe from name calling because I am more mature than that.

All a intake is is a pipe with a cone at the end of it. the only diffence between the stock and the aftermarket is the cone sucks more air in but not much. Look at the stock intake and you will see that it gets it air away from the engine like a cold air intake. So a 10hp gain is very unlikley but I will not say I am worng or you are right till I see a REAL dyno from someone with just an intake.

ok if you didnt pay attention up above then look i had used nos which is actually called n2o nos is a brand, plenty of times i have had it on a stock sunfire using it at the track, and put 29,000 miles on the car before i traded it,never had any problems. everyone is so caught up in the fast in furious its unbelievable,i had a partial sponsership through rk sport with the sunfire what a sweet deal that was got my parts for 40% off and free shipping, those days are over though as i cant seem to keep my cars that long while working for a dealer, just too many good deals.but i believe i will keep the focus and pay it off what a fun little car.
