Custom exhaust set up?

Alright everyone, I want to get a custom exhaust done on my car. I just have a few questions on the set up. I don't really like any of the exhaust systems for our car.

1) should I go with a single resonator, or 2 resonators?

2) what's the best pipe diameter to go with? I'm thinking 2.5" from the cat back.

Any advice you can give me would be much appreciated.

2.5"...

Magnaflow Muffler in the tunnel and a Vibrant resonator in the side tunnel...

Most people have gone with 2.5" a few people have gone with 3"

As for single res or dual res, it depends on what muffler choice you go with and where the exhaust exit is.

I think I am going to go with 2.5". Seems to be the most common and I don't want to look my low end. 3" seems way overboard. The only reason you would really need that is for a turbo, which obviously none of us have..

Go look under your car... The exhaust runs in tunnels similar to what you find in a rear wheel drive for the transmission. You have a large one running from the engine compartment then one that runs 45 degrees to the first.

I think I am going to go with 2 resonators, because I am probably going to have to do some sort of blast pipes to get the exhaust out the end because of my diffuser. I don't want some bulky muffler out the end.

Here is my diffuser, so you can kind of see what I am working with.

Oh, duh.. See I knew that.. haha I will definitely be looking into that now. I really need to get my exhaust done, and fast! Straight piping was a terrible idea. Stupid high school guy mistake.. Big regret now, lol.
