Do you test drive all the for sale SVTs in the Houston area Chris?
And thanks for mentioni evaporust. Had never hears of it b4. Bought some and did the caliper mounting brackets on my rear SVT brake kit and now they look almost brand new. Gotta get more to soak the spindles and calipers next.

..not all, just those in running condition
just remember that after soaking stuff in evaporust, be careful with water
after using evaporust you can rinse it in water, but don't leave it to dry on air. get the part dry with clothe, and if you will not paint it right then and there, then you need to spray wd40 on it to keep the moisture out,
evaporust leaves 'pores' in the material that absorb humidity and oxidize (rust) away instantly

Honestly, it didn't always use to be that way.
When I lived in Dallas, between 2001 - 2005, there were plenty of guys. And they would have the Pig Roast parties in Mesquite. We would also meet in Plano, the Costco Parking lot in Arlington and one time in the stockyards area.
There were probably about 10-14 focuses then as well.
Only in the past 4 years has the Houston crew grown so much. We went from a few of us to around 15-20 guys in and out.
Austin, also has a few guys here and there. And at one point San Antonio had about 5-10 guys as well.
With the the newer Foci and ST Focus now, we may get those numbers back up again.

I can talk to the parents if we can have one at my house. We can get in the pool after all as well. Just as long as we keep yelling and cussing to the minimum.

So most of you already know, but my SVT is very ill. And I have no idea how to fix it. Timing is off completely, so, this Sunday, although such short notice. If anybody would like to come help with it and by help I mean tell me what to do and how to do it and bring some timing tools, that would be awesome. Also, we can work on other cars or whatever. Basically a small install sort of a meet. PM me for my address. I'll invest in some burger meat and coals, so we'll have that going to.
