Ok guys, so I picked up my white ST3 about 2 weeks ago. I've never had a car that looks good enough to warrant a clear bra installation until I got this one. As I've had bad experiences with tint and what not in the past, I made sure to go to a 3M Certified installer. The tint came out perfect. The clear bra installation, is leaving much to be desired. I am really unsure if I am just being picky, or if anyone else agrees that the way this stuff was cut looks like complete crap. It seems that they just straight up skipped problem areas by simply not covering them. The lines are jagged and do not match up with the lines of the body work at all. There are bubbles under the part where it should be sealed on the bottom. I took it back to them yesterday to have them get out some of the big bubbles, but it seems that they just rushed it super fast and mangled the car. There are numerous spots that also have razor blade marks into my paint. I know this stuff isn't supposed to be "completely invisible", but this just seems unacceptable.

So much for me having paint worth protecting

I'm really at a loss of what to do. What do you guys think?

Just called the place and told them how crappy it was. They will be removing it Wednesday morning. They said it would take about 2 hours to remove with some kind of removal hardware, and they will give me a full refund.

Anyone know a place in the bay area that actually knows what the hell they are doing?

wow that was bad. I feel for you. There's nothing worse than trying to fix something or making something better, and it comes out worse....if there are razor marks in the paint - they should be giving you more than just your money back.

OMG, that is just about the worst clear bra ive ever seen, so sorry man, good luck on getting it removed and getting a new one.

Yep, I'm holding on to that as a bargaining chip right now.

"You guys want to lose your certification?! Well then you better fix my car."

After it's completely fixed, I will inform 3M regardless.

hey Tom, do you have any idea of what a clear bra install would cost for a '13 focus in the austin area, recs on installers in the atx too plz
Full front-end clear bra will set you back $400-500. I'll PM you my friend's information.
