Hi can someone please tell me where the crank sensor is on a ford focus 2001 1.8 please? I have bought the part and trying to fix it myself and I can't seem to see where it's about?! Please help

It is triggered off of the flywheel/flexplate between the engine and transaxle. I am not aware of the exact location but it is somewhere around the bell housing.
I'm sure you were hoping for it to be on the belt side of the engine. Brilliant engineering.

Thanks. I don't want to sound silly but when I jack up car I go under from drivers side wheel?

depends on which driver's side... yours or ours [

probably the transaxle side if you can't pick the whole front up... or if it's not possible from the top.

I have pics of the front of my engine from underneath yesterday if anyone can email me and I'll send them to them. It's stacybyrne1983@hotmail.co.uk I am trying my hardest to fix this simple thing myself
