I was thinking about silver but I dont know b/c I think that would be too much silver... I like the idea of doing the console.... and I'm already planning on doing the vents....what kind of silver did y'all have in mind...factory,chrome,...?

i'm thinking the anodized stuff from duplicolor would look real good. Chrome might be a little too much for the larger pieces...I'm thinking your car would look like a funhouse room with mirrors. A color match (CD silver) would look good, though. I don't think it would be too much because you can't see the outside of your car on the inside and the silver would be a nice contrast to the grey. Make a visit to the paint shop and see what catches your eye...

I voted sorta yes, I would have painted 'different' parts myself also white would have looked way better. Good work on the painting though, no flaws but I would have choosen with white.

The painted interior doesnt look nearly as good on the light gray interior as it does on the dark gray. Also that shade of blue really doesnt go well with the light gray.. if anything you'd want a darker shade of blue (like closer to a navy and further from a sky blue) to contrast the light gray dash.

Also the NOS floormats have to go.. You cant put walmart crap in your car and expect positive comments.

after studying your pics for awhile, I would really suggest (if you care about my opinion) that you ditch the blue motif altogether. If someone could do a little photoshop for you, I bet doing those pieces in a gloss (or anodized) black or silver would be hott and would blend better with the rest of your car the way it is.
.
is this what you mean? i did mine in all silver and if you look, i smoothed out my center console so there are no more lines in it. The silver is very glossy, esp in the sun, hard to tell from these pics tho. The paint i used it actually the base coat for the dupli color anosizing kit, really has alot of flake in it, with like 4 or 5 coats of clear over it. Im planning on having what i have painted here bidy color matched sonic blue. But maybe that will give you an idea of what silver would look like.

well, all this is confusing... if I go back to silver, I'm afraid that the color scheme will be too close because I'll have Silver, Gray, and Black.... on a color wheel, those colors are really close.... does anyone have pics of a light gray interior with silver????? I'm just thinking that light gray and silver wont contrast well

sounds like a winner and yea i love that cd player, i had it in my old car swapped out for the factory 6-disc in favor of that. But what do you mean "air bag thing"? Im alittle confused as to what that is.

Paining quality looks good but i think it could be tied together better... good work in progress.

I think it looks pretty good you just need to do the rings around the vents. They are easy to do and make a good contrast. I am tackling the painting procedure now and it is a little rough. Good job!
