Today was a sad day today. I sold my 2002 Sonic blue Focus SVT 3-door hatchback. It was my daily driver for for about 1yr. and I enjoyed every moment of it! It was such a thrill to drive, own and take care of! I purchased the car from a private owner as a daily driver so that I could get accustomed to having a manual for a DD. I didn't realize just how remarkable the car really was, especially at 91K on the odometer. It's just one of those cars.... it had the looks, the handling and a fun factor that I never imagined. I can see now how so many members have owned more than one of these cars, I want to get into another SVT as soon as I have the room to store it! I recently picked up an Evo IX after 2 1/2 yrs of looking and that along with a Mustang (ROUSH stage 3) in the garage there just isn't room for my SVTF. As soon as I figure out my storage situation A Focus is number one on the list. I may look at picking up a new Focus SE or SEL as a DD for me and my family. That would also allow me to stick around the forum community a bit longer... as I really enjoyed my time with the Focus community. A big thanks to all those who attended Carlisle Ford it really was an amazing experience for me as a Focus owner!

Last pictures of the car.

Car was on Craigslist for literally a day and a half and I had 3 people who SERIOUSLY wanted the car. By the end of the week I had FIVE people interested in the car. The car was bought by a forum member who happened to see my add posted on Craigslist here in MN. I'm hoping the new owner has as much fun with the car as I did, and will hopefully keep the car in as good a shape as I tried too. It deserves such treatment for sure.

Thanks for reading.

And thanks to the forums for all their knowledge and assistance in helping to own such a wonderful automobile!

At least it went to a good home and wasn't taken from you in an accident or theft...

I feel for ya.

We'll await your return

In no way am I leaving... I still check out the marketplace frequently, and I still enjoy checking out all the rides and build threads. I will be back with another focus...

<--- New Owner

Mike, I have to say thank you one last time for giving me the opportunity to purchase this great car from you! You have taken amazing care of this car during your ownership and it truly shows. I can promise it will be loved, well maintained, and cared for with me. I do hope you find another Focus for yourself. Thanks again!

I would REALLY like to go EAP next time... maybe find yellow or orange... or that SWEET RS clone that's up for sale now... WOW!!

You have yourself a WONDERFUL car Connor (Shempi). It certainly pained me to get rid of it, but it was time... and on to the next "Big thing", whatever that may be. I have no doubt you and your family will continue to take impeccable car of the car... and i'm SO thrilled I can see the car grow in the forum world. Good luck with the car and happy, safe driving!!!

This is my new ride:

So, i'm still FORD owner for sure!

Damn... nice and nice... My wife gives me shit and says if not for her and the kids I'd be rolling around in a corvette, bmw, sti, or something expensive and nice lol.

It seems money is not the problem. Wish I can afford either of those. Your svtf was really nice. And the color is my favorite. Hope to see you around the forum for some time to come .

The Focus wasn't perfect, no automobile is... but it was surly a nice car, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a matter of money, but a matter of space. Too many nice cars and not enough space. I do however want to dig into the Focus world again and look at a NEW 2013 Focus for a DD this winter. Need another automatic car for the family.

Thanks for the kind words, I still creep on the forums, and won't' be too far away.
