Actually it would stay on for 1 hr in one hour mode after you turned the radio on after turning off the ignition, then you'd need to make sure to restart it before the end of the hour to get you into the second half of the first movie.
No, it'll still stay on for an hour. If you just hit the button to turn on the Sync system it will stay on for 15 min then complain about the battery savings and shut off. If you shut off the entire system then just hit the Power button on the radio itself, it'll stay on for an hour.^ Allegedly MFT doesn't comply by the 1-hour mode's name, and instead shuts off much quicker. Something about it being a battery drain. It is running Windows Embedded Automotive, after all!

BTW. I've never seen anything like that. The holder is pretty cool regardless of how crooked it's sitting and the food doesn't look to bad either.
