I logged into Ford Owner just now and had a recall notice alert.

Title: PASSENGER SIDE WIPER MOTOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR INSPECTION AND REPAIR

Not sure if this is specific to the rain sensing wipers... I just took my car in... Guess I'll have to take it in again. [:(]

Oh wow! I wonder if that's for the wiper that doesn't always wipe. If it is, I just thought it was because it was cold out that it didn't wipe.

It must be trim specific because there is no recall notice for my S.

Copied from the dealer bulletin:

"In some of the affected vehicles, a seal plug on the passanger side windshield wiper motor electrical connector may be missing, allowing water into the electrical connection of the motor and potentially resulting in an inoperative wiper motor. The seal plug condition only affects the passanger side motor. Any wiper motor electrical connector that has a missing seal plug may cause the wiper motor to become inoperative and increase the risk of crash."

If you would like me to check the OASIS for your Focus and see if yours is affected, either post your VIN here or PM it to me.

Thank you!

We should get a letter, correct? I think I'll wait until then to bring it in.

You should get a letter, according to the recall, the letters are going to be mailed the week of 5/21. If you would like to know now if this affects your car, shoot me a pm with your VIN and I will check now for you

Also the dealer can not turn you down if you do not have the letter
