My new "Blacked Out" Hatch(Almost complete)

Well, had to do a few things to my Ebony black hatchback SEL to make it stand-out from the rest.

Got done with the emblems and Chrome Belt-line trim yesterday and finished it up today. I think they all turned out really well!

Blacked out front grille(The emblem came out better than I thought it would, especially for the sharp curves on it):

I started to put vinyl over my emblem, but I took it off for fear that enthusiastic Ford hooligans would vandalize my car. It's missing the finger installed "WASH ME" mod, or you could go the route of washing it. :p Looks pretty good man.
I keep it clean all the time, just had a lot of rain come through over the last couple of days ;)

Looks good....man, I say get the oem 17's painted gloss black byt leave the face of the spokes silver. I just think the stock multispoke wheel looks so good on the Focus...and the black would compliment where you're going with it...I like all the other mods as well!

I would but the wheels are pretty expensive compared to aftermarkets and not to mention I want mine different from everyone else's focus.

I really like the red calipers, I have thought about steeda's custom brembo brake kit but it is $1700, painting the existing ones is much easier.

Looks good, but the chrome along the doors is killing it for me.
yeah but he could cover that pretty easily with vinyl.

Love it! I'll definitly do that to my tail lights!

How did you paint those calipers? They look great!
Took this from another thread I posted in. If you need more details let me know:

I've never done anything like that with the calipers and wouldn't know how to only paint them. Can you give me some idea of how to best paint them (prep and what not) and if I need to take them off?

Thanks! $8 is hard to beat! [:p]
You'll have to take your wheels off first, the paint dries quickly and is much better if you do two at a time.

I did the front two first by putting the car up on jack stands, took off my wheels. I then rubbed down the entire caliper with mineral spirits on a rag. Didn't do any scrubbing as my car is washed every week and it's only around 6 months old anyways.

I then taped off the drum first, then rotated it so the tape was under the caliper(Keeps the drum clean). Then I continued to tape everything around it off and was careful with over-spray so I didn't spray the wheels wells, frame, etc.

Once it is all taped off put on a light coat, go to the other side put on a light coat, then back to the first caliper, spray on a medium coat, then back to the 2nd caliper, spray on a medium coat, etc. Go until it is all covered. Don't put it on too heavy to start as it'll run. It dries within seconds so if you can only do one caliper at a time then spray a light coat, wait 10-20 seconds, spray a medium coat, and continue to spray until you're satisfied.

I ended up with a light coat, and two medium coats and it was covered well. It looks more professional if you tape in behind and around where it has the Ford logo.

Don't panic, it is really fool-proof(Not saying you're a fool [:p] )

If I decide to go with the all black wheels then I will more than likely "Murder" it out(All Black for those who don't know the term). Titanium Headlamps, Paint the fog lights black, and either vinyl or paint black the chrome belt-line.

I might also lightly tint the turn signals in the side mirrors.....

Did you just night shade the tail lights?
No, I mixed clear coat & gloss black automotive paint leftover from painting my truck. Didn't trust the spray can stuff, though I'm sure it'll be fine.
