RAYYYY I NEED YOUR CAMERA!!!! MINE SUCKS

for real =( I need to get some half way decent shots of my car like asap since i ony have like 6 outdated ass ones on my gallery =\

What's it still doing? Did you make sure you got off the air out of the system when you swapped the PS pump?
we tried to. flushed the system. maybe i can just get you guys to take a look at it on sunday. it has been turning into a real pain in my ass. what it is doing specifically of course the noise. then the wheel got harder to turn. in addition, when i turn i can hear it making a gurgling noise.

This is why I love what I do. I am a General Manager for a repair facility. I have not been following the entire conversation but maybe I can help. Can You please fill me in on why the pump was replaced in the first place, is the pump making noise, is the the fluid cavitating, did you replace the o-rings on the supply hose after it was removed??? Too many questions without seeing the car. Call me if you need help and I will do my best. 281-734-9362

The pump was replaced because that was the general diagnostic by people i talked to and my mechanic uncle. i don't know a whole lot about the system, but the fluid was burned pretty badly. and the old pump was in pretty bad shape. again, i welcome anyone to take a look at it on sunday, because i could use the input. especially if it will prevent me from buying parts that i don't need.

I most likely will not be able to make it Sunday. What brand of pump did you install and where did you buy it from? If it was and A1 Cardone they are junk out of the box. I know a new Ford pump is ecpensive but If you are saying the original problem is solved and have another one now I would say a defective pump. Call me so we don't have to keep typing.

I will wait for your call. The rack may be the issue but we do not see those fail too often. most of the time Ford has bad pumps. Another thought, is the resevior on the pump or is it off to the side (remote resevior) and a hose feeding the pump from the resevior? On the remote systems there is a small screen in them that will get clogged from the debris of the old failed pump. This clogged screen will starve the pump of fluid which will intern casue the pump to make noise and the steering to be harder than it should. Also, check the power steering line and make sure they are not twisted or collapsed. If all the above checks out okay the next step would be to lift the front end of the car off the ground (block the wheels and use jack stands). Grab one of the tires and slowly turn the wheel. You are checking to see if there is play inside the rack. Turn it back and forth from lock to lock a couple time to see if there is and popping, jerking or dead spots. Where abouts do you live? If you are close by I can come look at it or you can run it by the shop and I will have one of my techs check it out. We do not charge to visually check cars out or get them on a rack to check them out. There is also no pressure for us to do the repair. This may be very easy to determine the failure with a trained tech looking at the car.

I don't know if I have posted this before, but it bugs me when people use "Foci" when talking about one Focus.

If you could get it to match your paint you could tape off your hood, front fenders, and front facia to make your own 3M bra. Clear would most likey look the best! Great find!
