i have an 05 zx3 with and mp3 radio, i need to know if an 04 kit will fit on the 05 so if any one has the pic of an 04 stock radio plz post it so i can see if the kit will fit on the 05-thx

I just ordered an 05 dash kit from crutchfield.com today. The guy I talked with told me that it is new and that it is for the 05's. Here is the part number. I have not gotten mine yet, but they tell me it for the 05's. Part Number 120995808 Ford Freestar Focus Kit $14.99

Glad I could help! I just hope that Crutchfield is right and it is for the 05's. I ordered it already, to find out. We'll have to hope for the best. I asked them to compare the new dash kit to the 03's or 04's and he told me its completely different. So that sounds like a plus. I will be glad when an adapter for the wheel control is easily available too. I want to add a Sony HU in the dash to go with the Sony audiophile speakers and Sony sub. I like the wheel control too. [wiggle]

SWI-X steering wheel interface module will retain the steering wheel controls... available as of 2000 for the vehicle.
www.bestkits.com also has the new equipment for foci. the kit is different, the harness is different, and no VW antenna adapter.
and i'm not too hellbent on sticking with a 'complete sony audiophile' system. you realize you can mix and match equipment.

I just found out that the SWI-X interface doesn't work with most Sony HU's. The SWI-X interface will only work with infrared remotes that use a 38-40kHz carrier frequency. The SWI-X interface in known to be incompatible with Sony RM-X6S, RM-X110, RM-X112, RM-X115, RM-X118 and RM-X131 infrared remotes. [
