Alaskan, The woofers are in spec for 3-5 cubic feet per woofer. By tuned I mean the amplifier was turned down(using voltmeter and oscilloscope to make sure clipping was not an issue ) to the proper voltage to be at 600WRMS. yes it is 1 large box ,the one subwoofer is inverted to compensate for the displacement of the woofers. It is wired out of phase with the other woofer so there is no "push pull effect" output for my wattage is quite decent . I now have the box sealed off from the trunk so I do not get cancellation from air getting behind the box . the box is 8 cubic feet before port and approximately 7 after . the box peaks between 40 to 45 hz and can play into the mid 20s because of my tuning .

Edit: I beg to differ about the boxes needing to be build for 2 being worse than 2 separate ones, I know a lot of Professional Audio Enthusiast running multi-woofer boxes hitting 150 Decibles or better. It is only necessary to have 2 boxes if you are not giving each woofer equal power.

well i also see thats not mdf wood, and for better sound quality 2 seperate boxes would be a plus

Actually the box is made from 3/4 inch birch with 1x1 bracing for it front to rear side to side and top to bottom ...I am competing in a SPL competition not sql so Quality is not a factor in my design . FOR SQ I would have built a sealed box .

a sub turned around in the box like your one is for sq, provides tighter bass notes. 2 seperate boxes like i said before will give you better sq while still being able to hit high for spl. i understand space is an issue for your setup though.

Here is mine. Custom made, and it fits 05-11 sedans.

Are those grounds going from your battery to your amp?
