Mid-Michigan Tour vs UP Tour...

Let's leave Hell behind, and plan the next cruise in here.

We can do a Mid-Michigan day tour, or do an overnight to the UP....

let the discussion begin:

I'm up for either.

Mid -Mi could be an overnight also. End in the evening in Birch Run and have dinner/drinks ect. Get up have a good breakfast and continue.

Where could we stay in the UP? I haven't been there since I was in HS.

I saw a show on the Food Channel about Tony's I-75 Restaurant in Birch Run...It's on my list of places to go. Chicken dinner in Frankenmuth always rocks too. We could stay in Frankenmuth at the indoor water park. Might be fun! Lots of places to go in the UP, too. Just spent a week up there in August. I guess the big question here is if everyone can afford an overnight??? I have all kinds of rewards cards for hotels, so I can get good rates for rooms...

Travelodge Houghton is like 80 a night with two queen beds. Split that 4 ways per the younger fellas, and its only 20 per person per night.

yep..and we can pack and stack in the rooms! We can make it fun and cheap...so, lets pick the tour and get some dates thrown out!!

way too short notice for me LOL. my money is all spoken for.

basement is taking all my money lol. wanna be able to use it before thanksgiving and have it completely done minus the furniture lol.

but im down with this next year. Maybe i could get my uncle to let me use his cottage and a few could crash there

otherwise my cousin has a large place in indiana on a lake. could prob host some people id trust there

the point is, the colors of the trees!
Mid michigan sounds good to me.
Cruise out between Lansing and detroit? something along those lines?
I no detroit people dont like to travel far, so we should keep it on the East side of Lansing at least.
i would also LOVE to do UP, ive never been there. But thats alot of gas and alot of money.

If we camp, I can host in Gladwin, there are a ton of roads and stuff.

We have over an acre of clear land, big ass bon fire pit, and a 30x50' garage.

I'd need to know to let my dad know, but all should be good to go. We do have indoor plumbing for the ladies and lots of trees for the guys.

No whining. Fix your car or drive the Ranger. Go to Enterprise and rent a Focus. We don't care what you drive just show up.

Lets do Mid-MI now and plan a long trip for the UP in the spring.

Sleeping outside or in the garage? I have 2 cots and a tent.

Gladwin looks great for Mid-MI.

I like the LP now and the UP in the spring idea. Let's do this! I haven't done a bonfire in a while...miss those!!

and Blake, you drove, not rode! :p

Works for me. Let me know at least 2 weeks out so I can get the time off. Spring U.P. trip works. I can have the car running for that one.

And true Wendy! I did drive!
