I'm thinking of getting an STV. I don't believe I've ever read a bad review of the SVT, but no car is perfect, especially as they age. What don't you like about your car, either it's driving character or any issues you've had. One concern I have is parts availability for the SVT. Is that ever a problem? Thanks.

I have no problems with my car, i love it, not the fastes car out there , but sure is very fun to drive. On the parts it all depends on what you want.

They def. are a fun car to drive. I've had a my fair share of problems from the car, but that can't keep me from loving it. The biggest issue I had was a leaking rear main seal from incorrect install. If you don't mind wrenching on a car that's your daily driver I wouldn't recommend it.

Just like any car you have to stay up the the maintenance and you'll be fine. Parts aren't too bad to find. Usually one call to Steve at Tousley and you'll be good to go. The hardest part for me is to find time to work on it. I'm a mechanic and rather make money on side jobs haha.

All in all I'm sure you'll love the car if ya decide to purchase one.

Car is starting to show it's age @86K with assorted clunks & rattles.
Most of this should be cured when I install new mounts, shocks and brakes this weekend.

I love this car, my wife remarks it's my mistress.

I love everything about my car But i have put a ton of money into it so its wicked fun to drive. The one thing i dont like is the seats, they get dirty very easy. :(

The one thing i would have paid a few extra bucks for is if FoMoCo's SVT guys would have put in an LSD. Other than that..."It is a blast to drive"
Throw a throttle body on it, a cold air intake (if your climate permits), and a short throw shifter and you won't know how you have lived without it.

I only have had mine for six mouths but i love my SVTF the only problem i have its the o2 sensor keep busting on mine 3rd time for me to fix it lol. Other then that I love it and I will try and keep it for as long as I can.

i love mine (pretty much an svt now after a three day svt powertrain swap) i have teh legendary thremostat housing leak (no biggie) and for some reason my dipstick wont stay down in the tube. but its all minor stuff when i hurl into corners faster than i should.
off ramps at 75+ are the best cure for a bad day (please make sure your off ramp is totally clear and your merging onto anotehr freeway please...)

its got some issues, ive had to replace a lot and i dont drive it very hard.

ps pump
clutch
flywheel
intake manifold
inner tie rod

etc.
