Are performance Chips like these for real?

No, it won't work, at least not any longer than a minute or two. The ecu's on our cars learn rather quickly and will go back to the way they were and ignore that change. They are adding in a resistor to trick the car into leaning itself out, this trick really isn't a good idea. Propr tuning will be available soon in the form of a flasher that will reprogram your ecu.

a flasher is like installing windows on a computer. Its like the hardware that runs the computer. A flasher is a ecu programmer that you plug into your OBD 2 port on your car. It takes your original stock software and replaces it with the modified software. In essence, its chipping your car where there is no room for computer chips. Its easy, no one with a pulse can mess it up. If you want to do any ecu tuning, it is the one and only way you can do it on the duratec. Visit the focussport webpage. I don't think they have them up for sale yet on the webpage but i believe if you call them, they will take the order. don't quote me on it. it just came out for the car a week ago

Walter is ordering it this week I think. So, it will probably be some time in November.
