R8 style headlights............

i agree im not a fan of chrome.. i have the halos on my car with the black bcking and love the way they look

.. and not all altezzas are chrome.. my rear tails are altezzas and they are deff not chrome..

but if you like the r8 look alikes the go for it.. its your car you do what you want... i agree about making mistakes when modding but a astetic look has nothing to do with making a mistake if the person likes it.. now if it will hurt the car then yes i speak up.. and there are alot of things that people have on their cars in my town that makes me want to just kick them in there shins but i just tell myself that some people just like weird stuff.. and try not to look...lol..

I'm not liking LED lights because of one reason, replacement should anything happen to them prematurely. I would hate to see the bill for a new unit that is LED especially on some of the new Mercedes/BMW's that have all LED tail lights. LED bulbs in a standard housing is fine its just the bulb its not like if it burns out you have to replace the whole unit unless the unit itself is damaged for one reason or another.

I think the R8 lights look sick on the foucs. Some guy here in washington has them and man do they look good! Remember its another way to styling a car, if everyone used halo's or euro lights then we would all be the same. Now that would be no fun at all.

im not a fan of halo or led but i do like the original r8 headlights better than these. there are so many imitations now it kinda sucks. personally i would keep the machs if thats what you have now.

all i gotta say is all you guys who are scolding this guy...lets see your foci and see if everyone else likes EVERY SINGLE mod done to yours...seriously.

imo...when modding a car, its all about the owners preference, style, and sometimes, budget. if the guy likes the R8 lights, and needs help, help him. but dont help him then bash on his style. i mean look at his signature...

-going for stuff No one else has...

i got props for lildude1989. if he wants his car to look how HE wants it, lets be supportive for him being origional. seriously, its not your car, so what if it looks bad in your opinion? keep that s**t to yourself.

i think you shouldnt have sent them back. because once on the car, they would have looked different and original. but if your getting perfomance stuff, then thats cool to

Everyone likes the halos and hates on the R8, but I'm the other way around. The R8's can look good it's just hard to pull off. I would like to see the output of those too since no one has them yet.

But a little research goes a long way. Your EAP is the only Focus that will not fit aftermarket headlights made for US cars. It's will fit for ST170s and some aftermarket euro headlights like Hella and Morette though.

Ive seen output of them and its not that bad. With better bulbs it would be better though. The ones that come with the headlight are very dim and yellowish. Other than that its good. Not as good as OEM headlights though.

lmao didnt realize...i dont mean to blow off dust on an old thread btw guys lol... but yeah i love my machs they are so nice...except that one damn driverside headlight is still fogged up after two try's of buffing it out...and sanding....then buffing...more sanding...etc. anyone know how much a new drivers side is? the passenger is brand new...i think the last owner could only afford to buy one new one... :p

sweet holy jesus...thats kinda low. i wonder if anyone has tried these out before and could give some feeback on fitment. id really like to look into this...when i can afford it...working 30hours a week with low pay, living at home with a cell phone bill, insurance bill, and car payment sucks!

anyway, well i would not trust myself switching harnesses, and the tuner shops around here charge a lil high for anything. so until i either learn or have a few bills in my wallet, we are not gonna see much coming from my focus (yet). i will, unless totalled, make it sweet. i promise, lol. and for those headlights, idk what kind i got, but my dad said his work (ford dealershp) wants excess of 500 each. sooo. yeah. wtf? if mine broke, i would just buy aftermarket ones.

Even halos look a little silly on a Focus. It's too bad really... ebay has a few options that would look good on a Focus but they all have those halos that really only look good on hi-end cars. But you can just not bother connecting them to power.
