Just an inquery for now.
So Tuesday I ended up in Greenfield MA (2 hours from my house) and on the way home I told the GPS to bring me the "Shortest Distance". It was 15 minutes longer so no big deal. Anyway I was on back roads and very few secondary highways. While hitting curvy roads at 10-15 mph over the limit and having a ball I got an idea.
A cruise where highways(93 -95 -89 - 101) and secondary highways (the yellow lines on maps) are rarly touched.
I went to mapquest and mapped out 4 differant routes just for giggles. All the routes stay within the bounderies of NH.
#1 - Concord to Keene and back (4.5hr trip). This seems to be the most fun route.
#2 - Concord to Conway and the Kanc and back to Concord(4hr trip). This does use 93 from Lincoln to Concord to save on time.
#3 - Concord to Andover NH and down the VT border back to Concord (2.5 hr trip)
#4 - Concord to Portsmouth and back. I gave up on mapping this when I was at 5.5hrs and still had about 1 hour from getting back to Concord. There was also a lot of secondary highways in this route.
These routes would also possible need a "test run" to make sure there are no dirt roads or closed roads. Or just add to the fun and figure it out if obsticals appear.
Any thoughts?
