Ans. - No - but that prob. isn't your problem.
Need to try to narrow down the source, but look toward the alt. - bearings going there would match the minimal description.
There are plenty of other possibilities, hence the "narrow it down" comment...

could be your alternator going out but I would def open up the hood and rev the car by hand and pin point the noise if its the belt theres plenty of kits out there that include all the tensioners and all for fairly cheap...might wanna look into that water pump too if you end up doing the belt

Still didn't answer my question. Is the noise speed or RPM dependent. Meaning if you are revving the engine in neutral does the noise increase with frequency? Or does it happen faster the faster the car goes?

Can't hardly hear it while idling in park. Gets louder when reving the motor while in park. Gets louder while driving up until about 50 mph.

hi all

most cars have a timing belt rewnal interval such as 70k (some less, some above) you should check the oweners manual or even google it im sure youll find somthing on it, also on the wyning noise its sounds like a bearing gone but you need to narrow it down, from the info given it dose not sound like a gearbox problem, just try when ideling putting your foot on the clutch and see if it has any affect on it this will help to see if its the clutch bearing, if not try removing the fan belt it could be from a retaining bolt on the alternator or a spring loaded pully and see if the noise gose out of it this will help narrow it down to the bearing attached to the fan belt so try each one by hand and see which one is gone (Alternator first and so forth) if its still there its more than likly from the waterpump which would meen getting the timing belt replaced anyway, this is like open heart surgery for an engine and has to be done right so if you dont know what your doing get a pro to look at it (safest bet)

this is only a guide to trouble shooting and hope it helps

As people have said it is likely one of the bearings on your accesory belt. So that could be your: Alternator, Power Steering Pump, AC Compressor, Water Pump, Tensioner.

Only way to tell is to narrow the sound down with a stethescope (carefully)
