true. I was just speaking from a situation where I knew what that turbo did. but your right. diff motors. diff #'s. he had the 50trim as well. along with a delta 47, super 60, and a precision 6262. lol

but yea, 3076 will hit 400's. lol
 
I had one of those... I took that junky mother [:)][:)][:)][:)]er off and got rid of that slow spooling piece of shit.

You can run a Top Speed manifold. It's a tight fit but I was able to fit a gt2871. A gt3076 is bigger yes, but it will fit. Takes about 25psi to hit 400whp if that's what you consider easy.

For tuning just get an XCal 3 and let Tom tune you. He'll get you set up right.

ja-rad just hit over 500 (uncorrected) with a 3076, fully built and what not. Didn't hit full boost and power until like 5500+ rpms...not my idea of use-able power, but impressive numbers non the less.
Just hit over 500? on a focus? Where do I find information on this?
 
You dont want a top speed manifold , the SPA manifold will do the job with less issues and leave a ton of room to grow

500HP on the Focus is only news and has been done with less mods on the engine then jarad has , and was done 7-8 years ago , your on the right board to get the info you need to reach your goals , stay away from thos guys

Well someone please point me in the right direction. High hp dyno charts are impossible to find. It is hard to find a dyno chart over 400whp let alone 500 and people dont seem to want to give out any specs on anything.

Maybe you didn't see it the first 2 times I asked... what are the specs on the turbo you sell?
 
I'll race a 500whp focus anyday.... high rpm power is nothing more than to brag about... when you make big midrange and good low end you will win just about everytime.

With your focus? I think I'll take that bet... on the 500hp car that is.

You do realize I had a civic that ran 11.1 with 450whp and a slow 1.9 60' and I was barely making the Tq your focus makes.
 
I wont give the specs on the turbos I use or sell , You tell me your goals and I can get you a turbo made to reach those goals and I can help with the tuning

I can answer your questions and help you and point you in the direction you need to go , you can take the advise or leave it thats up to you but I am willing to offer it , all you have to do is ask the questions

so companys are giving a lot of bad advise for a company that has only built one focus , Focus-power broke the ground for the Focus turbo and SC and has built hundreds and knows what it takes to build a safe turbocharged car that will last and that isnt a dyno queen

John and many here will tell you I beat the crap out of my car both on and off the dyno and use it like what it was built for and more , where others brag about dynos and thats all you hear about

Building one Focus and giving advise about it isnt a good person to listen to , there ar many on FF that can safely get you where you want to be with out trying 3 to 5 turbos and blowing head gaskets (LOL lifting the head) and blaming the turbos , tuning is key and you have the best guys here to get you there safely

Note so self. if you want 500hp buy a turbo that is rated for 600hp. [wiggle]

SPA is a great manifold but others will do better.. Note to self, turboing a focus is easy and can be done for less $$$. If you want 500hp it will cost $$$.
 
Just because my dyno says 365whp doesnt mean there still isnt power left... I havent even started to push the engine yet.

What others will do better ? I built equal length , long runner , short runner , extensive flow and dyno work on turbo headers for years on the Focus and none made the power better for the cost then the basic SPA "type" manifold on the Focus

See new guys come along and dont know all the stuff I made and tested in the years past , I have tryed the high end turbo manifolds and they dont work good , I can make my own manifolds from scratch and did , there not worth it

If your going Turbo on the Focus the SPA will make 700HP easy and for less then 350.00 , Please tell me what manifold will beat that ?

topspeedperformance.net for the manifold. theyre doing the tuning on the 500hp monster as well.

EDIT: shoulda finished reading before posting LOL. You'll get the same, if not better, info here than over there. I mostly just troll over there :) I'm of the "broad powerband" mentality. good acceleration takes more tq over a longer period of time (area under the curve). Also, spinning ain't winning.

[poke] for someone that talk down at SPA for years. Now it's the best thing in the world. funny. I have a SPA. But If I want a top mount turbo I will need something else. If I want a 3inch dp I will need something other then SPA if I want to keep my a/c. [unsure]
