So I hit a deer this morning. I was doing about 60 on the highway when it burst out of the trees coming from the right. I had time to hit the brakes for a second and slowed down to about 50 for the impact.
I've seen enough cars that lost control and left the road to avoid an animal and were totally destroyed, so there's no way I was gonna risk swerving.

And here's the deer. At least it was a young one. I'm pretty sure it died instantly. It was kinda cool seeing it cartwheeling through the air when I hit it

Some good news! I still have this old bumper to use temporarily. It broke when I hit a raccoon last year.

I have tomorrow off from work, so I'm gonna go check out a couple junk yards. *sigh*

. You did it right by driving through the deer, keep control of the car that way. I did the same except I nailed the brakes and cranked it right after the hit, I had a shattered windshield and class in my eyes, rather do the ditch than an oncoming.
