IMO, stay away from Steeda. A lot of their stuff is just licensed and rebranded from other companies, and they make you pay extra for their name.

OBX is kind of the opposite. OBX copies aftermarket parts from other companies without their permission but sells them for cheaper.

^^^ he is not saying that he had problems with steeda, i think that what he was trying to say is that it not worth to buy steeda parts when you can get them somewhere esle for less.

-I was looking, and found a FocusSport Cool-Flo Air Intake. Has anyone had experience with this product, and does the heat guard actually prevent heat from the air?

-Im also lookin at gettin headers and a high flow cat. I already have a magnaflow catback exhaust. So what headers would work better with this? Also what high flow cat?

-Am i missing any good power adders to put on my car? Im not looking to street race i just want to have a nice performing car i can show off.

Actually steeda has decent prices on some stuff. they're actually the cheapest place i've found to buy a new SVT susp. kit.

1. The FS intake is for the Duratec, your car most likely has the Zetec. The two best intakes for the Zetec are AEM and Volant. If you look at the stickies it will list some others and give info on the differences between a CAI (Cold Air Intake) and a SRI (Short Ram Intake). Also look around the Buy/Sell section and you should be able to find a good deal on a used one in good condition.

2.The best Header for you to get would be the SVT header. Just like the intakes you should be able to find a good used one. I would suggest this seeing as a new one will cost you a lot.

3. As for other power adders unless you wanna go FI (Turbo, Supercharger, or Nitrous) then there are just some other basic bolt ons. None of them will make a big difference by themselves but all together can be good. Your HP limit with the NA engine will be around 170.

Again, all of these answers are assuming your car is a Zetec and not the 2.3 Duratec put in a few 03's.

^^ ding ding ding. For example, the Steeda swaybar set is just a set of rebranded Eibachs; Steeda's rear engine mount is like $20 more than anyone else's; etc. Most of the "Steeda" brand products you can find an equivalent or even better product from another manufacturer for cheaper. I think they're cashing in on their Mustang reputation.

I'd only buy Steeda cosmetic items or their RSB kit, since the brackets and hardware in their RSB kit are unavailable from anyone else.

so your saying the focussport intake i found with the heat guard will fit my car, and will make it sound better? what exactly is the heatguard doing, blockin the heat from the engine to gettin into the intake?

there are several brands of exhaust headers and intakes that are specifically for our cars. same thing goes for throttle bodies intake manifolds heads valves cams pistons rods differentials flywheels clutches turbo kits superchargers............. i really could go on for awhile. you can find alot of stuff on ebay. but stay away from ebay BRAND intakes. those are the ones that just say cold air intake for a ford focus but they dont really tell you the brand name. and as far as intakes go you can just buy the SVT snorkel and a K&N drop in panel filter for your stock air box and perform as well as if not better than any cold air intake on the market.
