I would have help from my dad who has had some experinence with cars. So taking out the stock (assuming that's what stocker means) shouldn't be that much trouble.

Getting back on topic... Are there any places like tracks or something around Chicago where I can take my focus out for a ride?

the autoban country club is all i know other than that its RT66 for test and tune night or autox, the other option is salt creeks event at maywood coming up oct 18th. if your looking for actual track time best bet is Gingerman, but from what i hear is kinda on the pricey side of things.

for the stock air box the only issue is its held in by like 7 or 8 bolts and they are all hard to find ill give you a tip put it in the air and remove the wheel, wheel liner, and the splash guard when you get ready to do the lower section.

yeah and its freeeeezing in illinois
Cmon, it aint that cold. Look at Montana, Colorado, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Idaho, etc, etc, if you want freeeeeezing. [rofl] Heck, most of those states (also including Vermont, New Jersey, New York, etc) have already had blizzards and nights well below 0 degrees. Chicago is downright toasty in comparison! LOL Today is a nice 70 degrees, feels great outside.

Toasty's a stretch, unless you love winter. I'm actually gonna agree with djblack. It's freezing here. I live a block from lake michigan and, yeah, it gets cold in the winter.

oh so I shouldn't be doing barrel rolls on my way to work!

I guess I deserved that.

I was just curious if anyone would recommend specif fuels, oils or additives that seem to work best with the SVT.

Any quick mods would be helpful along with any suggested performance tuning. I am interested in at least hearing another SVT run because I feel mine isn't running right. It just sounds a little off and not running the way I would expect.
