First of all, welcome to FF. Reading this post brought me back to my first days on the boards. I did a lot of bumping and other stuff that I didn't know. I can definitely say from experience you couldn't have picked a better community to pop your forum cherry. The moderators are top-notch, professional and great people. They'll always give you the benefit of the doubt rather than just come down on you. And it's very rare to get flamed on here unless you instigate something in the first place. I know of some sites where asking "what's a CAI" would get you run out of the site. Not here. I didn't know what a CAI was before I learned, and that's what we're all here to do is share and help one another learn.

As far as your question, the beauty of customization is that your options are limited only by your imagination (and checkbook in some cases). You can buy pieces to accent your engine bay, valve covers, caps, brushed alluminum accents, some are also functional like strut braces, intakes, etc but you can also do your own. If you know what you're doing and take the time to do it right paint can go a long way. Make it yours, make it something you can proudly say, 'no one has a car like this one in the WORLD.' Good luck to you!

nice i have the same in my zx3 where did u find all those parts?
Well as for the parts, it's kinda tough to find now-a-days because most of the stuff on my ZX3 is discontinued.

yeah this website has been so much help and fun im very happy i found it *thank god for Google* ha ha thanks for the welcome im nervous to do anything under the hood alone cuz i have little knowledge of cars and how they work =/ ill just need to take my time and pay close attention to everything i do right lol. the thing i really don't like is the black plastic near the front of the engine idk what it is but i don't like how it looks but i see that kenzx3 still has it there so maybe it gonna have to stay that way?

Another thing that would help dress up the engine bay is painting your valve cover. I'm going to paint mine silver.

One problem with painting your valve cover on your 09, if you remove it Ford says they will void your engine warranty. Not trying to discourage you from doing this as I think it would look hawt. Maybe you can check with your local dealer and maybe they can take it off for you, you paint it, then they put it back on.
So, check on it before you remove it.
