Alright it all began a few months ago..when a friend of mines car was overheating. It got to the point where it overheated and it cut off 3 TIMES!, and she kept driving it to work. wher she parked it for the day. And i put a thermostat on it for her. But by than i believe the damage was already done.. b/c i noticed a slight white puff coming from the exhaust when i was test driving. but i didnt think nothin of it a the time. 3 days later.. its puffin major white smoke, and wont start.. head gasket is gone!

I replace the HG, water pump/timing belt/all gaskets etc. Get it all back 2gether, it cranks runs a lil rough but runs fine..im happy! had a leaking injector o-ring so i cut it off and replaced that a day or so later... and it wouldnt start anymore! i notice the reservoir is empty...i check the oil...and its back to milshake! i get upset, and break everything i can get my hands on...[?|]lol And go and get another HG, pull the head back off, re do it.. and get a real mechanic (my friends dad) to Tq it down for me..to make sure its not me screwing up..he does all the steps...etc. It starts! again.......but its runnign a lil rough.. so i decide to check the timing, and make sure its not too off or off at all. But the battery is dead.. so i exchange it out. Get back home, and Nothing..no turning over or anything.. reservoir still full.. Sooo i pul the plugs..and 1-2 are fine.. a little gassy from me tryin to start... BUT when i get to #3, i got a nice puddle of coolant sitting in on top of the piston...[?|]....soooooooooooooooo

is it safe to say the block is cracked?

What did the head look like?

Known problem is the valve seats and if the head is off it should be checked for safe measure.

Right now I'd say you should do a compression and leak down test. Make sure the reservoir cap is off and watch for bubbles in the tank, if there are some you know it all has to come back apart.

Also I'd add dye to the coolant before pulling it again and find out where it's coming from rather than guessing.

i had the head shavd, and the valves seats replaced, when we took it off the first time. Because the head wasnt holding compression, adn the head shop said it was warped. Its coming from the same cylinder it was leaking the first time, #3. But the engine wont even turn over at all, for me to even run a compression test.. its like its locked up.

Well you have to clear the cylinders first. You can either treat it like a drown jet ski and pull the plugs and crank it or use something like a turkey baster to get the coolant out of the cylinders. Right now I don't know if it's a water logged cylinder preventing it from cranking or not, could be.

IF there is coolent in your engine you cracked the block. It will run fine when it gets hot becasue the alum. will expand and seal the crack, but once the engine temp get to low it will leak. That is how I hyro'ed my motor.
